Organ Design Position

Richards, Fowkes & Co. of Ooltewah, TN has an immediate opening in the design department for an experienced organ designer. CAD experience required and 3D design skills a plus. A thorough knowledge of mechanical action organs is required along with historical knowledge of organ design.

Pipe Organ Restorer and Tuner

Position Available

We are considering adding to our organbuilding team.  We are a typical small shop of a half-dozen people building and servicing organs in a large geographic area.  The ideal person:  experienced, precise woodworker in good physical condition who can work on ladders and scaffolding, can fit into tight spaces, be part of a team, work under both male and female leadership, follow blueprints, and wo has knowledge of wood types & appropriate finishes, can work with electrical and mechanical systems, is conscious of impression and public relations and also of workplace safety, enjoys our surprisingly hospitable city, appreciates our style of organs and working, and is non-sectarian in outlook.  Some out of town overnight work.   Please contact Ross King mail@rosskingco.com.  


Pipe Organ Design

The Reuter Organ Company of Lawrence, Kansas, has an immediate opening in the engineering department for a qualified person to perform organ design/layout.

AutoCAD experience preferred, but not required. Alternately, pencil drafting experience is required. A comprehensive working knowledge of electro-pneumatic instruments is a must. The position offers opportunities for some travel, plus occasional hands-on involvement in the shop.
